LAYBY TERMS
Have you found your dream ring but need some extra time to pay her off?
The good news is The Secret Compartment offers interest free layby. Please see terms below and get intouch via instagram or email to discuss prior to purchase.
Available for items over $400 Aud. The buyer will make a 20% deposit to secure the item.
Then the reamining amount is to be paid over 2 equal monthly payment (60 day term)
Items over $2000 have longer terms available please email me to discuss. I am flexible and can work with your budget if it's outside these parameters. Please simply contact me to discuss your needs.
Deposit payment
The deposit payment is to be made on the day the invoice is recieved and proof of payment needs to be email through to secure the item, if no contact is made the item will be relisted.
Non-Payment or cancellation
If you need to cancel your layby or I have not been able to get in touch with you after missed payments and multiple attempts at contact the 20% deposit will be retained as restocking fee and your item will be relisted. Anything over the 20% that has been paid will be issues as store credit.
Transfers
Laybys are not transferable due to the effort and time required in re-listing and layby process. Pllease choose carefully prior to arranging your layby
Layby completion
The item (s) will not be released until the entire balance has been paid in full.
Please contact me if you have any change in circumstances or are unable to complete your layby I am flexible and happy to try to accomodate you and look at alternative terms.
Payment methods
We offer Paypal and direct bank transfer(Aus only) as payment methods. Both methods will involved a invoice with full details.
SHIPPING
I offer free express and insured shipping Australia wide.
I currently ship overseas to US, UK, Canada, NZ. For other countries I will consider on a case by case basis due to restrictions so please dm to check.
All purchases will be shipped within 3 business days or sooner if possible.
Overseas delivery time is estimated 2-4 weeks depending on any delays caused by flights, covid restrictions and customs. These timeframes are estimates and the delays are outside my control. If your delivery is time sensitive please get in-touch to arrange courier quotes. All items are fully insured with tracking and signature on delivery.
**Please note on international orders, the customer is responsible for all additional duties, taxes and/or tariffs that might be incurred. It is your responsibility to enquire and confirm the fees prior to purchase as I do not cover them.
RETURNS
I will gladly accept returns and refund your money in full if the item is not as described or damaged during transit.
All items being returned must be sent via express post with signature on delivery and insurance. All items must be returned in the same condition as sale or the refund will be void.
I don’t accept returns due to change of mind however send me an email for special circumstances.
CANCELLATIONS
Orders can be cancelled up untill they have been shipped. Once shipped an order cannot be cancelled.
CONDITION
Please be aware that every item sold is secondhand, vintage or antique and as such will have general signs of wear. I will always do my best to note any notable damage or wear but please look at the pictures as they form part of the description . Please ask for additional pictures or ask any questions prior to purchase.
HOLDS
Maximum of 2hours to hold an item to be fair to other buyers.
