This wonderful shell motif was popular for a period in the 1930s as if represented.... This is only the third ring featuring some type of shell I have been lucky enough to find. The two other featured shells on the shoulder however the entire design of this late Art deco ring is that of a shell opening to reveal it's treasure within. Instead of the feminine form standing within this beautiful ring we see this bright teal blue parti sapphire revealed! I cannot express how beautiful this piece is on the finger the lower profile and the details are just everything I look for. This ring originally featured a pink glass common for the era but having this link to the ocean made it an easy switch to this stunning natural teal sapphire. It is hallmarked 10k Crosby which was an American company active in the 1930 & 1940s. Good condition with light wear to ring.
