Lately I have been focusing on sourcing some fabulous brutalist pieces and this really caught my eye! Intricate c1970s design with beautiful handmade bars of yellow gold! Each bar has a textured like natural wood grain running along top. These mini twigs or bars of gold have been carefully stacked to create this textured structure that is still symmetrical! This style was popular in the late 1970s after the design movement influenced by architecture in the 1950s, we saw a movement toward raw materials, texture and bold structures. We saw this design in jewellery spearheaded by the likes of Andrew Grima and his masterful works.
This piece features two natural emeralds and white diamonds set across the face with such a wonderful balanced layout. Her split shanks also feature some added texture to finish the look. Made of handcrafted 14ct yellow gold and hallmarked as such she is a fabulous piece that will add so much interest and uniqueness to your style. Light wear to gold and emeralds have inclusions.
