Old European cut diamond tank ring with that quintessential chunky high style I love so much! This beauty was likely made in the late 1940s when white gold was more uncommon but still used in the later periods at the end of the war. The use of diamonds in this era were often old mine cuts or old European cuts reused from family rings or older pieces due to lack of new gem supplies during the War. The textured shoulder are more of a 1960s design so it possible this was added later. This piece is a wonderful statement with instant impact and so much style and history! Concave design with two claw settings in the centre, each house one old European cut diamond. To each side a row of three old European cut diamonds. The extended shoulders, of the band, taper up wide with a brushed finish both sides. No hallmarkes but acid tested for minimum 9ct. Some wear to gold where there are hand made joins and diamonds have inclusions and wear.
