Like Aphrodite emerging from the ocean this sea bright and ocean clear aquamarine is simply divine! The tranquil and calming vibes are only enhanced by the white gold seashells on each of her shoulders. Hallmarked for a small Australian company Lustre which was active in the late Art deco period into the mid century. LUSTRE Jewellery Mfg. Co. of Waverly Rd, Malvern, Vic was a small family owned business and although my books do not have much history I was able to find a photo of their stalls at a jewellery fair to share with you please gallery. This late c1930s setting housed worn glass which was common for the era so I sourced this brilliant natural aquamarine to bring her back to life and as a subtle nod to those scallop shell shoulders. It is just so special and ready to be cherished again. Some light wear to gold.
